I grew up in Brooklyn and learned early how to make something out of nothing. I became a mom as a teenager, navigated seasons that included homelessness and starting over, and still found my way forward.

The military became one of the biggest turning points in my life. It gave me structure, confidence, and leadership under pressure — and it opened the door for me to step into tech. That foundation is still how I move today: learn fast, stay calm, execute with purpose.

Now I use this space to document cloud builds, share Customer Success strategies that actually work, and talk about the lifestyle resets that keep me grounded while I grow.

My Story

I’m La Toya — but most people call me Toya. I built my life the way I build systems: one decision at a time, with discipline, faith, and a whole lot of resilience.

I’m a Brooklyn girl at heart, raised with the kind of grit you don’t realize is rare until you’re older. Life didn’t hand me a smooth path, so I learned early how to keep going — to problem-solve, to adapt, and to bet on myself even when the odds didn’t look great.

One of the biggest turning points in my life was the military. That experience shaped how I move through the world: with structure, accountability, and a calm mindset under pressure. It also opened doors that changed everything for me — it helped me see new possibilities, build confidence, and take steps toward a career I didn’t see people like me in growing up.

From there, tech became my lane. I’ve worked hard to become the kind of woman who can walk into complex environments, learn fast, lead with clarity, and deliver results. Whether it’s cloud, customer success, or building out systems that help teams win — I’m most in my element when I’m creating order from chaos.
